My background

It all began with playing drums at the age of forteen. Three years later, at the age of seventeen, I began promoting artists on my YouTube channel ‘‘ChillArea’’. Working with various labels, agency’s, indie artists and even with American actor Mehcad Brooks (American Horror Story, Mortal Kombat) From starting at nothing and working all the way up to a thriving YouTube channel (3K subscribers and a total view of 850K+ views), simply with the concept of promoting songs with pictures selected by hand on the websites Pexels and Unsplash.

But after a certain time, it didn’t felt enough. ‘‘I want to be an artist myself’’. I started with making photos and videos at the same time as my YouTube channel and really started to take this a bit more serious. I uploaded my photos on the copyright-free websites Pexels and Unsplash. Once I saw that one of my first pictures went sky rocket, I knew I had something. From Google, Yahoo, Samsung, to USAtoday, and doing a project for Canva, I continued. With over 650+ million views, it’s my most viewed, downloaded and used visual representation of what I’ve created as an artist and still continuing to do so.

At the same time as Pexels and Unsplash, I started to make music myself, as a drummer in the Alternative Emo Rockband Summersile. I’m applying everything I’ve learned in my recent years into this project. From what I’ve learned at my time with ChillArea, my knowledge and vision in photo and video, and my background in Marketing, Communicaton, Events and Creative Concepts.

Besides being the drummer in Summersile, I manage the band, book the shows, directing, creating, editing ,gate keeping release plans and promoting music and content.

When I started working for myself in 2024, I had a strong vision in my head to do a lot of concert photography. I started out by contacting a lot of bands. I quickly started capturing photos of bands, such as Bayline, Boston Manor, The Story So Far, Tusky, DI-RECT, and John Coffey. As a first year of being a concert photographer, I can already check off a tour in Germany, photographing at Pinkpop and various venues like Poppodium 013, Metropool, MEZZ, Melkweg, Dynamo Eindhoven and more.
